Given the urgent nature of the climate crisis, I am passionate about European Spring’s New Deal for Nature, the Climate & Europe’s Green Transition. Dealing with climate change requires massive investments, and that’s why I want to advocate for a socially just Green Investment-led Recovery Programme which doesn’t require any additional taxes on the ordinary citizen.

I’m a 27-year old Leuven-born Belgian citizen of Romanian, German, and Belgian descent. Basically, as European as it can get! I completed my Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Language and Area Studies: Japanology at the KU Leuven, and I have studied for a total of three years in Japan through the Japanese Government Scholarship, two of which were spent on sociological research on civil society. In September 2018 I decided to go to New-Zealand on a working holiday visa to try and find a purpose in life. I worked in the construction industry and at a lodge, among others, before deciding to go back to Belgium and devote all my time to the electoral campaign. I had been following DiEM25 for a longer time, but in New Zealand I finally realized that my purpose lay back in Europe with the only movement that I believe offers a viable alternative to the current status-quo.
